Dr Gayathri Balachandran B.A.M.S, M.D(ayu), D/o Mrs.Ramya Balachandran and Mr.Prapancham S.Balachandran hails from a musical family and is an Ayurvedic physician by qualification and completed her post-graduation in 2019. She began her vocal training in classical music under her father and her grandfather Palladam S Venkatramana Rao. Her innate inclination towards classical dance and music drew her towards Kuchipudi 8 years ago. She began her training in Kuchipudi under the tutelage of Guru Dr. Madhavi Mallampalli. She performed her Arangetram in February 2019 in “The Music Academy” with Padmashree Chitra Vishweswaran as the chief guest and Kalaimamani G.S.Mani as a guest of honour. She is a passionate singer with many performances and light music recordings to her credit and is presently honing her Carnatic vocal skills under Dr.R.Ganesh and Radha Sathyanarayana Rao, while imbibing Hindustani music from Ustaad Ahsan Zulkarean Niloy since 4 years. She also completed her certificate course in music with distinction, and pursuing her MA in music from Madras University. Teaching
Experience: Being born in a musical family, she is been exposed to teaching at a very young age. She is a keen observer and initially she started teaching her parent’s students (especially children) since she was 14 years old. From then on, she is been teaching music for over 15 years through online and offline platforms.
Performances: Dr. Gayathri is the title winner of Benedryl Big FM golden voice and one of the finalists in Online super singer and Ragamalika duet series (Jaya TV). She is been performing for Ramani’s Academy of flute since she was 15 years old. Performed in many temples including TTD Nadaneeranjanam, South zone cultural programs and sabhas. She has also performed in RAJ BHAVAN, in front of the honourable governor “Konijeti Rosaiah”in the year 2016.
