Vidwan Dr. B.Umashankar is a renowned international Carnatic Vocalist, a music teacher, composer, music director, publisher, research scholar, and an event organizer. He is a disciple of Needamangalam (late) V.V.Subramaniam, ‘Sangeetha Kalanidhi’ Bombay sisters Smt. C.Saroja and Smt. C.Lalitha.

Dates and times:

Beginners (3 sessions – total 3 hours of classes): 

Aug 30: 6 – 7 pm

Sept 1: 6 – 7 pm

Sept 2: noon – 1 pm

Intermediate and advanced (3 sessions – total 4.5 hours of classes): 

Aug 30: 7 – 8:30 pm

Sept 1: 7 – 8:30 pm

Sept 2: 1 – 2:30 pm

Price: Free from school side. We strongly recommend giving Guru Dakshina directly to Vidwan B. Umashankar ji. Suggested amounts: $40, $80 or $120 (or whatever you feel you can give)
